Let's make it a group effort! (events)

Hey there everyone!

I just wanted to clear the stage so that we can discuss future events and devmeets! I would also like to ask you all a little favor :wink:

Let's get started with the future events. Since our last few devmeets have been "ticketed" events, (conventions, movies) I would like to discuss perhaps planning a little outing to a park or something similar. I think that would make it a little easier for everyone, since I personally know that it can get hard to find the money to do anything these days.

But I don't want to rule everything out! I would love to do be able to do something neat like bowling or skating sometime, so please, no matter what your ideas are, share them!! I need you all to guide me in the right direction, so we can all do something that we enjoy doing!

As for the favor, I would like to ask everyone to continue to send me information on all the local art-related events! I love being able to support local artists!

So, let's get to it! I'm counting on you all to help me make this the most positive and active floridian artist group on the deviantART!

How about meets to do art? Like, local libraries have meeting rooms that are easily checked out/reserved like library books. I'm sure we could get one sometime, and have everyone meet there, bring some art supplies, have some fun? Maybe cover a table or two with big white sheets of paper and put out a random collection of supplies on each table, so everyone can sit and doodle... OOH! And then we could like, rotate tables after a while, so that each table's sheet is added to by everyone who attends! And all the while we can be like, having group discussions about stuff or something... :) All about collaboration, yeah! :nod:

i definitely think we need to go to a county park or something and barbecue that shit up.

that'd be the most fun, casual, and cost-effective way to get everyone together.

something in the tampa/orlando area i think is the best bet too. i haven't been around here very long, where are most of our members?

I would love to spend a relaxing day out inhailing barbeque fumes! I haven't done something like that in a long time~

Seems like we have quite a few active members living in/near orlando, which is really nice actually XD
